Whale and Dolphin Watching

Whale Watching

This tour takes place preferably in the morning around 7 or 8 a.m. We will drive by boat near to Caño Island to look for whales and dolphins. The Humpback Whales come each year to give birth to their young in the shallow and warm waters of Drake Bay. During this time there is a high possibility, when not almost a guarantee, to see some of the Humpback females with their calves or some of the males. There are also dolphins living all year round in the area, as the Pantropical Spotted Dolphin and the Common Bottlenose Dolphin. Sometimes it is also possible to see other type of whales, as the False Killer Whale for example. If you like fishing, there is the possibility to take some fishing rods with us and try to catch a fish from the boat.

Whale watching takes only place when the humpback whales are here, which is mostly between August and December. In the rest of the year, we only offer dolphin watching or recommend you to do the trip to Caño Island, where it is also possible to see them on the way.
